I made this up because I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo tuned for this game so I made a fake boxart, it's crappy because I used screenshots, but I like it.
So you can see Wart rules the "dream kingdom" and starts using that power to control citicens of the Mushroom Kingdom (including Mario,Luigi,Bowser and Princess Peach) and and turns them in their servants, to control the real world. This only afected the Mushroom Kingdom, leaving BeanBean Kingdom out of their control. However, Starlow comes and frees the Mario Brothers out of the control, the get fast to the BeanBean Kingdom (this explains the Hoohooligans-too much like citicens). When they come there, Starlow explains them what's hapenning and the Bros. decide the save the Kingdom once again. When they get in the Kingdom, Wart tries to control Luigi first, but because Starlow's magic, Wart coudn't control him, instead, he for accident get into Luigi's dreams and give Luigi the ability that when he's sleeping, he can make a portal to his dreams, Mario uses this ability to, while advancing in their real adventure, also advance in Luigi's dream adventure, to stop Wart.
